Hello Fellow Students,

I live on beautiful Vancouver Island in Victoria, BC. I teach at Camosun College for the nursing department. My background is in acute care nursing. I have worked in a variety of different hospital units (orthopedics, oncology, respiratory…etc.). In my current role I frequently assess the courses I teach, and (like most teachers) I am responsible for planning out each lesson and assessing if the students are meeting the learning outcomes. I teach 2nd year bachelor of science in nursing students in the hospital setting, the practice lab, and the classroom. I am interesting in learning more about he interconnected structures of planning, instruction, and assessment and various curricular frameworks as they apply to the various settings in which I teach. Our department meets regularly to review various aspects of our program and curriculum as a whole. I am interested to see how this course will support me in my role as an educator and a faculty member in my department. I am exciting to be on this learning journey!
